At Tangomatter, we do things differently. Our philosophy is rooted in clarity, demonstration, and authentic connection. Every concept is shown and explained. When we teach, students first see the movement, then feel it through guided practice. For example, when introducing the *ochos*, we demonstrate the subtle body rotation and weight transfer before asking students to try it themselves. This approach bridges the gap between understanding and execution, allowing learners to internalise Tango movements more quickly and confidently.
Argentine Tango is a passionate partner dance from Argentina, known for its close embrace, improvisation, and expressive connection between dancers.
Milonga is a lively Argentine Tango dance style characterized by a faster rhythm, playful steps, and a joyful, rhythmic connection between partners.
Argentine Tango Vals is a smooth, flowing dance style danced in a 3/4 rhythm, emphasizing continuous movement, elegance, and circular motion.

Tango begins with a short sequence of movements you synchronize with your partner. It can take about 20 minutes until you start flowing. Then, you add some new movements and face the challenge of improving your balance and technique, which can take another 20 minutes. At the end of an hour of practice, you will understand the first aim of tango and will be ready to continue.
You are welcome to join the Tango lessons even without a partner. You can start practising the technique and try it with the teachers while your partner shows up. The techniques in the Tango dance are individual, so what you improve alone is an investment for your couple dance.
The Tango dance has three rhythms: tango, Milonga, and Vals. These rhythms have various periods and orchestral styles, and formations have changed in the golden age of orchestras. Between the 40s and 60s, around 200 orchestras were played in Milongas, theatres, carnivals, radio stations, etc.
